STUDENT LICENSES

The Mari Extension Pack Student License is designed to allow students enrolled in universities and schools to use Mari Extension Pack.
We currently charge an administrative fee of 7 EUR to process Student Licenses to cover online verification costs by www.proxy.id etc.

As a student, how do I apply for a student license ?

To apply for a student license please send the following information to "licensing (at) mariExtensionPack (dot) org":

- your full Name and University/School Name
- a valid copy of your student ID
- a copy of your enrollment papers or class registration
- a copy of your class schedule
- any online portfolio you already have (Artstation etc.)

For speedier verification it also helps to send the email from a school/university account

As a faculty member, how do I apply for student licenses for my class ?

If you are a faculty member of a university or school and want to give your entire class access to Mari Extension Pack, without each student having to go through manual verification, please reach out to us.

We will require

- a list of names and email addresses
- proof of your faculty membership
- emails should be sent from an official school account

What is the Mari Extension Pack Student License ?

The Mari Extension Pack Student License gives Students full access to Mari Extension Pack for a 12-month period.

The Student License is for self-learning only and the license does not permit use for commercial work. For commercial work please purchase a full commercial license here

What are the requirements and Limitations to use a student license ?
  • Mari Extension Pack requires a full Mari Version to work. It is not compatible with Mari's Non-Commercial versions.
  • The Student License is valid for 12 months from the time of issuing
  • The Student License can be activated a maximum of 2 times. Meaning that you can for example activate it once on your home machine and your laptop
  • The Student License is not allowed to be used for commercial work
  • Student Licenses require a minimum of Mari 8 since only Mari Extension Pack 2027 and higher introduced Student Licenses
What do you do with my data ? How do you verify ?

We use

- School Verification via https://www.proxi.id
- we will run your documents through AI & Image Editing Detection

Finally we will manually look you up online by name and try and verify your claim. If we can't find you online, we cannot issue a license, so it's best to provide some of your online footprint like artstation to us.

How long does it take to get verified ?

Verification is a manual process. Depending on workload it can take up to 7 days.

What happens once I am verified ?

You will receive a one-time use magic link via email that will take you to a page where you can deposit the 7 EUR administrative fee. Once this is done, you will automatically receive an email with download instructions and your license key

How do I renew my Student License after 12 months ?

You will have to go through the steps outlined above again to renew your student license for another 12 months

Is support included in the Student License ?

We do not offer the same support for Student Licenses as we do for commercial ones.

As a student license holder you are entitled to the following support:

- Installation & Activation Issues. Please always refer to our dedicated Installation & Activation Issues section in the Online Documentation first
- You can let us know about bug reports and feature requests

We recommend you join the Mari Discord community, which can be helpful in answering common questions and issues

Will I receive free updates during the time I own a student license ?

Student Licenses will receive upgrades as long as the license is valid

Can I pick the Mari Extension Pack Version to use ?

The Student License program was introduced with Mari Extension Pack 2027. Student License Holders have access to previous Mari Extension Pack Versions up to Mari Extension Pack 5 (supporting Mari 4)
